My site has a little Java Script that puts messages on the Status Bar at the bottom of your screen. It’s just a harmless, flashy 9-string message. If you block AciveX controls or if disallow status bar updates via script, you won’t see it, but everything else on the site will still work.  I didn’t even know it was ActiveX until my Internet Explorer blocked it then warned me about it.

I’ve been around a while, and I’m still going.
